The keiki of Rooted are stringing crown flower lei to prepare for and celebrate Queen Lili’uokalani’s birthday. The crown flower was said to be the Queen's favorite. This year the students at Rooted put on a performance for the Queen's birthday at Keawanui Fishpond, sharing mele with their family and community.
