After spending the last few weeks in the mangrove, this week we focused on maintaining and preparing our food farm and fishpond at Keawanui.
We had help clearing the area for our newest kalo patch and tending to our established kalo, 'ulu, fruit trees, and native plants garden.
In an area that was once covered in invasive kiawe, we've planted over 1,000 huli and 100 'ulu trees this year alone.
In preparation for our harvests this year, we also reopened our 'imu and are looking forward to feeding our 'ohana.
